Written and directed by Ruairi Robinson, Blinky is a new short film starring Max Records (Where the Wild Things Are) as a young boy who gets a new and highly intelligent robot named Blinky for Christmas. To say more would be to ruin the fun, just hit play and enjoy.
I just wonder if Robinson got the name Blinky from the three-eyed fish on “The Simpsons” or from Pac-Man, the man must have a personal love for one or the other right? Robinson also voices Blinky, which sounds a lot like Andy Serkis as Smeagol/Gollum in The Lord of the Rings… at least to me he does.
Either way I’d love to see more shorts on the topic and the final image is fantastic fun.
