Siskel, Ebert and the One that Started it All

Not sure how much you enjoy Roger Ebert or his one time movie review show, but as Roger tweeted last night, “Thanks to the Library of Congress and some fans, the earliest years of “Siskel and Ebert” are online. Our first show!”

The first episode, embedded below, aired in November 1975 and was on once a month for Chicago public television. The show was titled “Opening Soon…” and in this episode, among other movies, they discuss the premiere of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at the Chicago Film Festival. Also, is it just me, or does Siskel have a real Jonathan Hyde as Bruce Ismay look going on?
