Entertainment Tonight has premiered a three-minute set visit from the set of Sherlock Holmes 2 giving you your first look at some footage from the film including star Robert Downey Jr. dressing up as a lady as the titular lead character.
Sherlock Holmes 2 reunites Downey Jr. with co-star Jude Law and director Guy Ritchie for a new adventure alongside Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) as the rifle-toting gypsy Sim, Stephen Fry (V for Vendetta) as Sherlock’s brother Mycroft Holmes and Jared Harris (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) as the villainous Moriarty.
The plot details have been kept quiet so far, but the Los Angeles Times not only offers the above pic but also a snapshot at the synopsis:
Set in 1891 – a year after the last film’s events – the sequel shows Holmes continuing his pursuit of Professor Moriarty (played by Jared Harris), who, if the investigator’s instincts are correct, might be the world’s first supervillain. Watson, meanwhile, is still trying to be a good partner to his love, Mary Morstan (Kelly Reilly), while keeping Sherlock alive.
Sherlock Holmes 2 hits theaters on December 16.
