Before I begin, what do you think of my new Golden Globe Award logo? I spent a little time in the workshop yesterday and that was the result. Hope you like it, I was quite pleased with it.
That bit of silliness aside, we are only a few hours away from the first big award show as the Broadcast Film Critics Association will be announced tonight and I was considering live-blogging them just as I will be the Golden Globes this Sunday, but they won’t be airing live on VH1 so it really doesn’t make much sense. However, I will be posting the winners of the Critics’ Choice Awards as the BFCA makes the move to become the more respected Oscar precursor over the Globes. (In light of some recent news the shift may be closer than we think.)
Nevertheless, the Globes are only a couple of days away and it’s still fun to try and predict what films will take home the prize. I have added a poll for all 14 film categories directly below along with my prediction of who will win for each. I will be leaving the polling open until midday Sunday and will post the results on the site just before the start of my live-blogging of the 2011 Golden Globes starting sometime around 4:30 PST on Sunday.
