Uber-producer Jerry Bruckheimer tweeted the following image of Blackbeard’s flag flying from the Queen Anne’s Revenge mast from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Blackbeard will be played by Ian McShane in the fourth film in the franchise and will find himself in a race for the Fountain of Youth against Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).
As you can see, the flag used in the film is of little resemblance to the actual imagery used on Blackbeard’s flag as I’ve included a replication just above. It’s not as if it matters, but I thought you may find it mildly interesting.
