As far as honorable mentions go, I would say the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol starring Alastair Sim as Ebenezer Scrooge is worth a mention. It’s easily the best feature adaptation of that story, although Mickey’s Christmas Carol is probably my favorite version.
I mentioned Die Hard and Shane Black, which means I should probably mention Lethal Weapon and I can’t forget bringing up Trading Places, a film that also almost made this list.
I’m sure many of you will question the omission of such Christmas classics as A Christmas Story, Bad Santa and The Muppet Christmas Carol and are there any fans of Scrooged, The Ref, Batman Returns or The Proposition to the point you would add them to your list of ten Christmas favorites?
