The picture above is one thing, but a pair of spectator videos from Dubai have shown up on YouTube featuring Tom Cruise performing the stunt you see in the picture from the observation deck of the more than half-mile-high (828-meter-high) Burj Khalifa while filming Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.
I found the first video thanks to Jeff Wells at Hollywood Elsewhere where he asks, “[Will] anyone who hasn’t seen this video believe, when they see the finished film, that Tom Cruise actually hung his ass over the side?”
All I can say to that is, “I saw it, you saw it and we’ll respect it.” Right?
Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is directed by Brad Bird and alongside Cruise, the film stars Ving Rhames, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Vladimir Mashkov, Michael Nyqvist, Josh Holloway, Simon Pegg, Lea Seydoux and Anil Kapoor. Look for it in theaters on December 16, 2011.
