Ryan Reynolds is set to star in Green Lantern for director Martin Campbell and Warner Bros., but Inside Film says, “Green Lantern‘s proposed Australian shoot is understood to be under threat after the rising Australian dollar has blown out production costs. Two other Hollywood productions (Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark), which were secured by Queensland and Victoria earlier this year, have already begun filming.” The film was looking at a November start for a June 17, 2011 release, but who knows what will happen now. The site also references Happy Feet 2 as in production. [Inside Film]

Next comes word from Ain’t It Cool reporting Christopher Nolan’s Batman 3 “could very well be FULLY shot in IMAX, not IMAX Digital – but the beautiful, stunning IMAX that we saw pieces of The Dark Knight in.” AICN’s Harry Knowles speculates the reason Nolan went from The Dark Knight to Inception “was possibly to create a few new IMAX cameras made to his specs.” [AICN]
