Top 10 Actresses To Replace Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

I am not sure I necessarily like this pick and for some reason I have a lot of doubt Biel could pull off an English accent with any great level of convincing, but other than that she has the rest of the attributes necessary for the role and whether you liked it or not, her turn in Blade: Trinity as the iPod endorsing Abigail Whistler doesn’t hurt her chances.

At 5′ 5″ Sienna may actually be too short for the role, but despite all the hatred that seems to exist for this 27-year-old cutie I just love the piss and vinegar she seems to lead her life with and I can see it acting as perfect preparation for a confident female action star. The photo above is a marketing shot for her role as The Baroness in Stephen Sommers’ upcoming G.I. Joe feature and will serve as a good example as to whether or not Miller has the chops for action. Of course there are those that will say she isn’t big enough in a certain area to play the role of Croft, but for anyone that has seen Alfie (or any gossip rag for that matter) you know Sienna has enough to satisfy whatever prurient interests you may have.

There’s no denying Megan Fox has the looks and body to take over for Jolie. She also has the endless amount of body ink to satisfy as further comparison. However, just as with Biel I have a concern over Fox’s ability to bring a convincing English accent to the character, and for that matter I wonder if she can actually act since I haven’t seen a whole lot from her that would convince me she can. Also, is she athletic? Running from CGI robots isn’t enough for me. A lot of questions, but the looks certainly help her rise up the ladder.

I really like this pick and would love to see Rosario kicking some ass. I have no concerns over Rosario’s acting ability and based on what I saw in Seven Pounds I think she will be an Oscar winner some day, but while she chases the gold statue for her mantle it would be a lot of fun to see her flying through the air with guns blazing. She has all the requirements needed for the role and on top of that she has actual talent.
