I have wondered why Fox Searchlight was dumping Notorious into the less than stellar days of January and MTV has debuted a new clip shedding a little light on the situation featuring Biggie (Jamal Woolard) giving his wife Faith Evans (Antonique Smith) a smooch while Lil’ Kim (Naturi Naughton), Biggie’s mistress, lays down a track in the recording booth.
Perhaps the most intriguing part of the whole thing is watching as a rapper actually says the words, “What, what…” inside their rap. Couldn’t that just be looped along with the wet clapping sounds?
