Have you ever tried to figure out what your favorite movie is? Were you actually able to do it confidently or do you always seem to waiver on a top five films or even a top ten?
Well, I have been at work in the RopeofSilicon labs and I am preparing an exclusive, patent pending formula that will tell you exactly which one of those five, ten or even 1,000+ films are your favorite. Basically, this new little feature is going to give you the ability to rate any movie on the site in a select group of categories and tell you exactly which film is your favorite.
The categories will also allow you to decide what your favorite drama, romance, sci-fi, etc. is. Emotional opinion and viewing habits will play a part in the equation to the extent that your list will change every time you watch a movie. This isn’t going to be a list of film snobbery, it’s going to be catered to your likes and dislikes. After all, when it comes to liking movies whose opinion means more than your own? However, you will be able to cross-reference your opinion with others allowing you to hopefully find even more films to love.
You will get a decisive list of what your favorite movies are, what your least favorite movies are and you are going to be able to share it with others with widgets for your MySpace pages and so forth.
The biggest challenge is going to be making sure I have all the movies you love on the site. Just in beta testing my personal top 200 films I had to add four movies to the site and I am sure all of you are going to have several films that aren’t on the site, but don’t worry, I am going to do my best to make sure all of your favorite movies are listed and we can actually compare lists and do so much more.
I am not sure when this feature will be fully functional as beta testing is going to be going on throughout the summer. I hope to have it done by the end of the year, but I wanted to let you know about it in case you wanted to get a jump start on listing off some of your favorite films that are not listed on the site.
