Julia Stiles and Paddy Considine probably never even saw each other on the set of The Bourne Ultimatum, but since they were in the same movie together we can say they are teaming up once again as they have been cast in the new thriller Cry of the Owl for writer/director Jamie Thraves. Stiles is replacing Sarah Polley who was originally set to star as a woman who falls in love with her stalker, you know, every day kinda stuff.
The film is an adaptation of the 1962 novel by Patricia Highsmith in which Considine will play the man who moves to Stiles’ suburban town and begins spying on her. Scott Speedman also has a part in the film and will play her jilted ex, who complicates matters further when he plots revenge against her. Yikes, revenge time eh?
There will be no trick-or-treating for these three though as filming is set to begin Oct. 30 in Toronto.
