Mischa Barton has not exactly made the jump from small screen to big screen since she “left” The O.C. She has several films in the can and Closing the Ring is even making the festival rounds, but none of her small role as the vomiting ghost in The Sixth Sense have seen a wide theatrical release. Perhaps this is because she is picking films like the latest one, Walled In, a psychological thriller being directed by French director Gilles Paquet-Brenner.
Barton stars alongside Deborah Kara Unger and Cameron Bright in the film based on Serge Broselot’s bestselling French novel “Les Emmeures.” She will play a demolition company rep who supervises the razing of a mysterious building and discovers horrifying secrets and past inhabitants entombed within its walls by a vicious murderer.
She recently completed filming Finding t.A.T.u. for Roland Joffe and is currently starring alongside Bruce Willis in Assassination of a High School President.
