Jamie Foxx will be seen in what looks like will be one of the great movies of the second half of 2007 The Kingdom, but other than that his upcoming slate is blank. He has remedied that situation with a starring role in George C. Wolfe’s Blood on the Leaves at Paramount Pictures.
The film is based on Jeffrey Stetson’s 2004 novel, the story centers on a district attorney who grapples with feelings of revenge as he prosecutes a black history professor on trial for the murders of white men accused of crimes against blacks during the Civil Rights movement. The studio is searching for a second male lead.
