Forster Talks ‘Bond 22’ Shooting Locations

It is getting to be that time again, the time when all the James Bond rumors and interviews in a variety of international newspapers start rolling in as CommanderBond.net brings word from Swiss newspaper SonntagsBlick in which newly named helmer of James Bond 22 Marc Forster talked a bit about where he may be shooting some of the next film, his thoughts on casting the Bond girls and being chosen as director overall.

“There can’t be any better place than the alps”, Forster said. “No matter if you plan to do romantic scenes or hard action, the alps will be the perfect background for a Bond movie.”

CommanderBond points out that the Alps were already used for 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

As for casting the Bond girls there is still no word on who it will be although there have been rumors including Australian actress Abbie Cornish, Sienna Miller once again and even a disturbing and obviously false rumor claiming the Olsen twins had a shot (it makes me shudder to even type it). However, Forster hasn’t even started casting that yet, but he seems obtimistic about the process and says, “To cast the girls for a Bond movie gives pleasure.”

For anyone wondering what you are going to get with the director of Finding Neverland and Monster’s Ball getting ready to direct his first action film, well it is a bit interesting as this may be more mood and drama than you are expecting and than we even got with Casino Royale.

CommanderBond quotes Forster saying, “They certainly did not want to hire an ‘action director’… They pretty much knew what they wanted: a young and unconsumed ‘drama director’ with his own visions.”

I am up for it, and here is to hoping they succeed as well as they did with Casino Royale.
