It has been a rumor filled week surrounding The Dark Knight and now Iron Man is in on the gig, but these two “rumors” feel more like fact as Ain’t It Cool News and SuperHeroHype! have a couple of new tidbits for us in regards to these two films.
First off, AICN tells us that Samuel L. Jackson is set to film scenes in Jon Favreau’s Iron Man as Nick Fury, Marvel’s military super spy. There is word that Marvel has set Andrew Marlowe (Air Force One, Hollow Man) to pen a script for a feature film adaptation of “Nick Fury” so who knows if this is just the start of all that. There is also thought that it may be in anticipation of the much talked about Avengers movie.
As for The Dark Knight, SuperHeroHype! has posted a spoiler filled set report that I don’t recommend you read unless you like to have scenes spoiled. However, I will tell you that the one major bit of news out of the report is that Cillian Murphy will be in The Dark Knight as Scarecrow. The report also contains pictures, but even better is the video as you can see below if you are into that sort of thing.
Iron Man hits theaters on May 2, 2008 while The Dark Knight will be released on July 18, 2008.
