Variety is reporting that Tom Wilkinson, Bill Nighy, Carice Van Houten and Eddie Izzard have joined the cast of Bryan Singer’s WWII feature Valkyrie, which is toplined by Tom Cruise and Kenneth Branagh.
The wartime thrillern is based on actual events, as German generals hatch a scheme to assassinate Adolph Hitler at the height of WWII.
United Artists is releasing the film which begins filming on July 19 in Berlin for a planned 2008 release.
