‘The Incredible Hulk’ is Hurt-in’

The Incredible Hulk has gained yet another big name in William Hurt as Louis Leterrier has certainly assembled some talent to bring the big green back to the big screen.

To think of Louis Leterrier as anything other than similar to glossy director Rob Cohen initially seemed silly, but he must have some sort of vision as the Transporter franchise helmer pits Hurt alongside Edward Norton (as Bruce Banner/Hulk), Liv Tyler and Tim Roth (as villain Emil Blonsky/the Abomination).

In the film Banner is scouring the planet for an antidote for his “affliction” whil warmongers who dream of abusing his powers won’t leave him alone, nor will his need to be with the only woman he has ever loved, Betty Ross (Tyler).

Hurt is aboard to play Gen. Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, the man who has dedicated his life to capturing the Hulk — and who also is the father of Betty Ross.

Zak Penn penned the script for Universal and a June 13, 2008 release date is already set. Filming begins this summer in Toronto and I can’t wait to get my first look at Norton as The Hulk, it will certainly be interesting.
