TOP TEN: Worst Movies That Made Over $100 Million

Here we have the only animated film to make this list, and Happy Feet tried hard to be included, but Madagascar might be the worst animated film ever in my opinion. Truth be told, if it wasn’t for the penguins every minute of this film would be a waste of time.

Let’s put it this way, Madagascar is 86 minutes long, the video below features pretty much all the penguin scenes from the film and runs 7:39. This means 79 minutes of Madagascar are bad, that is too many minutes by my count. So instead of ever seeing this movie, just enjoy the clip below. Yay!

Madagascar made $193,595,521 and is #82 all-time.

Adam Sandler is this list’s only repeat offender unless you count Chris Rock’s voice for Madagascar (which I don’t), and it primarily comes as a result of obvious comedy in a PG-13 waste of time.

I don’t see how you can really expect to remake an rated R film and turn it into a watered down PG-13 mess. Too many times have we seen this happen, and taming down Chris Rock’s performance for a PG-13 comedy is a waste of time and talent. The best part of the film is the reveal of Courtney Cox’s breasts and considering that comes in the first minutes of the film it is not worth wasting your time. As a matter of fact, I will give that to you right now.

The Longest Yard made $158,119,460 and is #137 all-time.

Not only is Ghost Rider the third worst movie that made over $100 million it might be the worst comicbook movie of all time. Now I am sure some of you will mention some obscure comicbook adaptation but I would much rather watch Catwoman or Elektra instead of this mess again. Finding anything other than a few cool effects to compliment this movie on is impossible. On top of that it has what might be Eva Mendes’ most uninspired performance ever. Just check out the clip below and tell me she cared at all about this movie.

Ghost Rider made $115,802,596 and is #270 all-time.

If Scary Movie 2 and 4 had managed to make over $100 million each I would have added the whole franchise along with Date Movie and Epic Movie as this group of films are six of the worst movies ever made. Traditionally I think ties on top ten lists are bullshit, but to consider these movies as anything more than one large pile of crap would be to give them too much credit. The oddest thing however is that the second and fourth film didn’t make $100 million even though Scary Movie 4 came close with just over $90 million. Are audiences only going after the odd numbered Scary Movies? Does this mean Scary Movie 5 will crack $100 mil? Let’s hope not… As a matter of fact let’s hope a fifth one isn’t made (even though we all know it probably will be).

If I was to call any part of these movies funny it would be the clip below from Scary Movie 3, but it is all downhill from there.

Scary Movie made $157,019,771 and is #139 all-time and Scary Movie 3 made $110,003,217 and is #296 all-time.
