There are two Spike Lee movies joints I am yet to see that I want to see and those are Malcolm X and 25th Hour. I have never been a huge Spike fan, but I did enjoy Inside Man and have been told 25th Hour is great and I want to see Malcolm X just because I want to, nothing more. Adding to that list of two I will go ahead and also add this new one Variety brought up today called Miracle at St. Anna based on James McBride’s prize-winning war novel of the same name.
The story is of three U.S. soldiers who venture between the German lines and the squadrons of predominantly black U.S. divisions in World War II in Italy in order to rescue a fourth soldier.
Lee will shoot the film in Tuscany later this summer but casting has not been announced yet.
