Julie Delpy is an actress that just seems to work for me, there is something about her that I just love and once you see 2 Days in Paris in which she wrote, stars, directed, edited, blah, blah, blah you will see what I am saying. It is great. Also, if you are yet to see Before Sunrise or Before Sunset add it to your NetFlix queue right now. While many of you have probably heard this rant before it is worthy of repeating… now for our news…
Delpy and Vincent Gallo have signed on to star in The Last Mile for first-time director Philippe Rouquier and French distributer Rezo.
Rouquier also penned the thriller in which Delpy and Gallo play members of a criminally inclined group whose amateurish heist grinds to a halt when their getaway car becomes stuck in a monster traffic jam.
Filming is set to being in January once Delpy finishes work on The Countess, which will serve as her second directorial outing centering on the 15th-century Transylvanian “Blood Countess†Erzsebet Bathory of which Delpy will be playing. Gallo also has a starring role in that film as does Delpy’s Before Sunrise and Sunset co-star Ethan Hawke.
