There’s ‘A Haunting in’ Virginia

I saw Virginia Madsen on the cover of some tabloid in the supermarket today apparently telling the world why she uses botox, a fantastic piece of information to bring up to her the next time I get a chance to interview her, which will probably get me promptly slapped in the face. But I see it as a great chance to get a story to tell my grandchildren that we can laugh and laugh about. However, Virginia won’t be laughing in her next role, the scary little film for director Peter Cornwell, A Haunting in Connecticut.

The supernatural thriller tells the true story of a family forced to relocate near a clinic where their teenage son is being treated for cancer. There, they discover that the home they have rented is a former mortuary with a dark history that might account for the extraordinary manifestations of the boy’s illness and the supernatural events that threaten the family.

The screenplay was penned by Tim Metcalfe and Adam Simon and the film is expected to get underway at the tail end of the summer.
