Emma Roberts is the niece of Julia Roberts and I can’t help but think one day she is going to be a big star. She already has a couple of teen comedies under her belt and this summer she is starting what looks like might become a new franchise with Nancy Drew, a film that has already had a sequel announced even before the first film hits theaters. As for her future outside of Drew hs has just signed on to star in Wild Child for director Nick Moore and Universal Pictures.
While described as a comedy, Variety says the film will allow the 16-year-old to show a bit of edge as she stars as a spoiled Malibu princess whose penchant for wildness drives her father to send her to a strict, all-girls English boarding school.
Filming begins this summer.
