The 2007 MTV Movie Awards Nominees

So, when I see that two of the nominees for Best Movie are 300 and Blades of Glory that confuses me. Are the 2007 MTV Movie Awards awarding movies from 2006 and 2007, or parts of 2006 and the ones that fill the bill from 2007? Nevertheless, I think it is illogical to even ask the question since these awards have always been silly and just a way to get stars out on stage to shill their next CD, movie or TV show and for MTV to get some more viewers. However, this year there is an interesting little wrinkle that does have me interested… the show will be LIVE and hosted by Sarah Silverman.

Yup, you heard it right, LIVE. Unlike last year when I was able to give you images from the show that would be on TV that night it will be live and our very own Laremy Legel will be live blogging the shit out of it right here on RopeofSilicon! Plus, the fact that Silverman is hosting does have me a bit interested. She is a funny femme.

As for this article, we have your list of nominees and who you can vote on. There are a few new cats such as “Best Summer Movie You Haven’t Seen Yet” and “Best Movie Spoof” and you can even submit and vote on your own spoof right here.

The show airs on June 3rd so be here and on MTV for all the madness. And now… the noms…
