Frank Miller’s ‘Ronin’ to WB

I am pretty sure this is old news that originally surfaced during the junket for 300, but since I never reported it, now is as good a time as any to get it out there. Variety has posted an article saying that Stomp the Yard helmer Sylvain White is set to direct the feature adaptation of Frank Miller’s graphic novel “Ronin” over at Warner Bros.

I believe this news was originally reported by BlackFilm.com, but this is the same news that was floating around out there about two months ago.

The plotline of “Ronin” centers on the title character, a disgraced samurai from the 13th Century who is reborn in New York circa 2064. There, he must destroy a demon who has also been unleashed in Gotham, one that carries a sword with mystical powers.

The novel will be adapted into a live-action feature.
