Eastwood and Jolie Teaming for ‘Changeling’

Looks like Clint Eastwood is venturing back to more entertaining filmmaking and he has nabbed quite the star for his next film which is said to be The Changeling for Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment.

Variety reports that Angelina Jolie is in negotiations to star in the film in which she would play a woman whose son is abducted but retrieved; she suspects, however, that the returned child is not her kid. The woman must then confront corruption in the LAPD. Story is based on true events in 1920s Los Angeles.

The current plan is to begin production in 2008 so this one is a ways off.

Up next for Jolie will be the animated feature Beowulf and another animated feature in Kung Fu Panda. She has already finished up her work on A Mighty Heart, which is based on Mariane Pearl’s memoir detailing the terrifying and unforgettable story of her husband, Wall Street Journal reporter Danny Pearl’s life and death. Paramount Vantage is set to release that on June 22, 2007.
