Box-Office Oracle: Feb. 9 – Feb. 11

#1 movie predicted correctly: Four Weeks In a Row Wrong
Eddie seems to open around $20m with his crappy changeling comedies. This one shouldn’t be any different unless the public has finely gotten wise.
Estimate: $18.6 million
B-Luv has pointed out that horrors seem to win their opening weekend everytime. Well, The Hitcher didn’t. But yeah, the point is valid. That’s why I’m ignoring it.
Estimate: $15.2 million
Losing every weekend has made me feel dumb to the third power, or dumb cubed.
Estimate: $7.3 million
You got me last weekend bud, I fell for your teeny seven percent rating on RT and your Diane Keaton anchor. Hook, line, and sinker, that’s me.
Estimate: $6.9 million
My only win here was that I didn’t have to see it.
Estimate: $4.0 million
I am still suggesting people see it. It’s violent and fun, qualities we used to hold dear in this country.
Estimate: $3.4 million
They should have to give every dollar over $200 million to film schools. Yeah, the movie was fine, but they should be about promoting real film at some point. They, by the way, are 20th Century Fox. Write them a letter.
Estimate: $3.2 million
This little engine that could has a 96 percent on RT. Guess who gave it a C+? This guy, your source for the real skinny, not the borg mandated party line.
Estimate: $2.4 million
Will we see a stomp workout tape? That’s the only question left on this project before it heads out of the top ten next weekend.
Estimate: $1.9 million
The untold story of this Oscar season is how hard Dreamworks just raped Eddie Murphy by releasing Norbit this weekend. Someone owes that man an Oscar after that screws it up.
Estimate: $1.7 million
