Connery Considering ‘Indy 4’

Come on, as if Sean Connery wasn’t going to return for Indiana Jones IV. They wrote his character into the script, do you think they would do that if he wasn’t going to return? Yeah, about five years ago he called it quits on acting, but it just wouldn’t make sense they would write Daddy Jones into Indy 4 if the Scotish actor wasn’t going to play him.

Anyway, the Scotsman.com has a little article posted in which they don’t quote Connery, but instead they have this to say:

The actor says he will read the script for the fourth Indiana Jones movie and, if he likes what he sees, will appear once more as Indiana’s father, Dr Henry Jones.

They also do go on to say…

…that he had already had discussions about returning to the big screen in the epic adventure series that has grossed £700m in cinemas worldwide.

Ah ha, there it is, they already talked to him about it you see. After all, he can’t leave acting with The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen as his final film.

Indiana Jones IV is aiming for a summer 2007 start for a summer 2008 release, click here for the complete article.
