Personally I was bored by Warner Independent Pictures’ A Scanner Darkly starring Keanu Reeves, Woody Harrelson, Winona Ryder and Robert Downey Jr. but now IGN Film Force is giving you a chance to judge for yourself considering you are of age and are able to make an opinion on something based on not seeing the whole thing…
What do I mean?
Well, IGN has just made available one-fourth of A Scanner Darkly by posting the first 24 minutes of the film online. Take a click here and judge for yourself if this pic is for you. If the floating backgrounds and the endless amounts of unnecessary dialogue don’t bother you maybe you will like it. I will say, however, there is an okay scene that ends the clip around the 21 minute mark where Downey’s character buys a bike and the four druggies discuss the possibility of the scam that is being perpetrated by the seller as Ryder’s character points out that it may be stolen. Yeah, this is the movie for drug addicts, about drug addicts and it tells me that drug addicts lead a boring life, that is unless it is Artie Lange of the Howard Stern show telling his pig costume story… now that is funny right there.
