Will the Silver Surfer be all CGI?

For a long time we have heard that a Silver Surfer movie would cost a lot of money due to all the special effects that would be necessary to bring the character to the big screen. Perhaps that is why Fox has chosen to give the “silver” one a chance in theaters as a character in the upcoming sequel Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer, scheduled for theaters next year.

Well, it seems those special effect stories are even bigger than we may have originally thought as Moviehole brings news that the Silver Surfer may only need a voice. He may be a 100-percent CGI character.

FF2 director Tim Story had a chat with the site and here is a clip:

“The Surfer will be a new CGI design being developed especially for the movie. It’s going to be incredible.”

My opinion. I am not a big fan of all-CGI characters. No matter how realistic, unless they are in an all-CGI film they still look fake.
