DVD DOWNLOAD: #25

It’s an Oscar-winner for crying out loud. Who cares that I didn’t see it, I am sure you don’t, but this one is at least worth a once over isn’t it?

Hey look, another movie I don’t want to see. A movie so good Lionsgate wouldn’t even show it to critics. I really don’t have a lot to say here, but I have been storing a little commentary that hit my Inbox around the time Madea’s was showing. I am going to give you a little snippet. It might not be all that relative to what we are discussing, but it is at least something extra. Think of it as a DVD DOWNLOAD Easter Egg:

I went to see the latest movie “Madea’s Family Reunion” and was delighted once again with the strength of women coming out of bad relationships and the love that is there right around the corner. However, please let Tyler know, many people who have supported his shows from day one, have no babysitter for their babies, nor would they trust leaving their babies with any one. Tyler should know this, all of his films deal with issues of child abuse and he himself was a victim of child abuse according to an article I read. Madea has become as big as it is because Tyler never discriminates upon any one and makes his audience feel that he genuinely cares about the family. Well the family includes our babies. I was in the theatre when at the end while showing the credits, Madea said not to bring your babies to the show. Well, it’s those parents who bring their babies to the show that have made Madea what she is today. We had four generations there: My mother, myself, my daughter and my grand-son. We all felt embarrased and hurt when the comment was made. There were other people there with their babies too. Every time the babies (even my own grand-son) would get restless, we would get up and stand down on the floor or go outside of the theatre to calm them down. When Tyler made that comment, no one in the theatre backed it, not even the people who did not have babies with them. While I was on the floor with my grand-son another lady was playing with him too and enjoyed having him there.

I know this movie has suffered from some awful reviews and opinions, even one from our resident reviewer Laremy Legel, but it has Johnny Depp and John Malkovich in it so I will be damned if I am not going to at least give it a shot.

Uh… meh. I have no particular interest in this flick from the standpoint that I just don’t think I am ready to see Vin Diesel in a non-actioner role. I have yet and don’t plan on ever seeing The Pacifier and I am going to go ahead and add Find Me Guilty to that same list.

I tried watching this show when they sent me the review copy of the first season. I couldn’t get into it then and I don’t plan on trying anytime soon.

Just as “South Park” announces an eighth season here come “The Simpsons” with theirs. Only problem is that I think “The Simpsons” are getting a bit worn out and this isn’t even close to the final season… Why can’t it be close to the final season?

Now here we go… I have a ton of old school movies, but one actress that has continued to avoid me is Marilyn Monroe, but take my word on this she ain’t getting away this time. I totally plan on adding this one to the collection and checking out Ms. Monroe in quite possibly her most popular picture ever.

Remember when Will Smith used to dress like a fool and make tons of cash? Somehow, no matter how this guy dresses he makes tons of cash… I guess he must have talent!
