Scott’s are Making a ‘Killing’

Ridley and Tony Scott‘s production house, the aptly named Scott Free Productions, are set to produce The Killing Sea a story based on Richard Lewis’ upcoming novel.

The film will be housed at Fox 2000 and concerns an Indonesian boy and an American girl brought together in the aftermath of the 2004 tsunami.

The book will be published by Simon & Schuster in December and Ridley is reportedly eyeing the director’s chair.

Variety had a bit on the auther saying that Lewis grew up as the son of missionaries in Indonesia, where he still lives. Simon & Schuster also published his young adult novel “The Flame Tree,” about a young man living in Indonesia around the time of 9/11.
