Another week, another DOWNLOAD. This week actually offered up some cool little additions including a couple of things that won’t show up below in the form of your first look at the HD DVD artwork for the Universal Home Entertainment titles and I must say, “Me Likey!” Come on Warner, get in line with this, make it look different, make it look futuristic, give us reason to buy this when it costs about $10 more than DVDs and has the same features as the already released titles.
Oh, I guess I should give you the links to check out the Universal titles eh? Well, so you know, the release dates for a few of these were also announced and starting April 18th a couple of these will be available at Amazon for those of you that are on the technological edge: Serenity, Doom, Cinderella Man and Apollo 13.
Enough of that, you can always stay up-to-date with the Blu-ray and HD DVD releases in our official Hi-Def Section here.

Hmmmmmmm… I have heard mixed opinions on this one and I skipped it primarily because I don’t really like Steve Martin and to see him butcher a classic character was not tops on my list, but it does sound like I should give it a chance. After all, the features are massive and sound rather appealing. HAMBURGER!!!

The announcement of this one is disappointing only because the damned thing was still at #17 at the box-office this past weekend and was released only a month ago. What the hell?!?! Yeah, it doesn’t come out for two more months, but the anticipation for waiting for some of the better films on DVD has gone out the window. Why not hold onto this title until Halloween this year? Give people some time to forget it and take in the summer box-office. Just because other studios are releasing their DVDs immediately doesn’t mean everyone has to! Either way, I am really interested in the Unrated Edition… I want more gore!

Personally I love animated films, but the word around this one really doesn’t have me looking forward to reviewing this one.

I wanted to see this in the theater, but unfortunately the timing was all wrong. Hopefully I will find some time in June to give it a once over and let you in on my opinion. Either that or I will toss it Laremy’s way, I am sure he will have some good things to say about it.

Yup, this looks to be the Weinstein Co. edition as I have added several of their titles to the database in the last week. This one here spawned an Oscar nom for good ol’ Dame Dench, but other than that I am oblivious to whether it is good or not, and I don’t anticipate on expanding my opinion. I think I will leave this one to your opinion.
· Making-of featurette that includes interviews with the real “Windmill Girls”

I have started watching this set and I will say now I am liking it very much. I have already watched the 2-Disc Special Edition of A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and if you have not seen Tin Roof you must! This movie has some of the greatest dialogue you are going to find and it doesn’t stop until “The End”. I have added all of the editions in their separate form as well so if you want to get the goods on all the special features just click the pic above and select from the “Other Editions” drop-down to check out the disc of your choice.
