If you didn’t know, MGM was bought out by a consortium led by Sony, which is expected to close this summer, and in lieu of the turnover MGM has four final films under its wing before this all happens.
The four pics are Breaking Vegas with Brett Ratner attached to direct, Blood and Chocolate being helmed by Katja von Garnier, Yours, Mine and Ours, a comedy remake starring Dennis Quaid that Raja Gosnell is helming and, of course, the next James Bond pic.
Variety reports, however, that there is no guarantee for these films, as Breaking Vegas could be put on hold if Ratner decides not to direct as for the Bond 21, Sony will likely produce the film even if it does not come together before the buyout especially considering the new 007 has yet to be chosen.
Yours, Mine and Ours and Blood and Chocolate are on the upcoming slate and on good footing.
