The Star Wars Holiday Special

IFILM.com is presenting a bit of nostalgia that just might make you hurl, but it is fun to watch nonetheless. Back in 1978 George Lucas let the Star Wars mahem go to his head as he put together “The Star Wars Holiday Special” featuring everyone from his hit 1977 film including Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and all of Chewbacca’s family.

The show only aired once, which proved to be one time too many for CBS Television as I am sure November 17, 1978 will not be a day Lucas will want to visit again.

The film can be found here at IFILM.com and is a short special featuring Luke Skywalker and Han Solo as they battle evil Imperial forces to help Chewbacca reach his imperiled family on the Wookiee planet – in time for Life Day (not Christmas), their most important day of the year!

You might want to beef up on your Wookie speak as several minutes include nothing but the incomprehensible language.

Happy Life Day!
