Universal Scaring Up ‘Strangers’

With all the success of horror films these day the genre is on the rise and new films are being announced almost every single day, and today is no different as a remake of The Tingler was already announced and now Universal Pictures has bought the spec script The Strangers.

The story was written by first-time writer Bryan Bertino, and follows three mysterious strangers who terrorize a young couple in a remote house after they return from a wedding.

Notariaity has already found its way to the story as it was a semifinalist in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ recent Don and Gee Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting competition.
