Brosnan Tips Farrell for Bond Shoes

Pierce Brosnan has turned in the Bond digs, but has thoughts on a successor, it seems the Irish actor feels fellow Irishman Colin Farrell would be the best candidate to fill the shoes he leaves empty for the 21st film in the franchise.

Brosnan has been less than candid as of late about his feelings on leaving the Bond franchise now that he has fulfilled his 4-movie deal and has not been officially told there will not be a fifth, but he leaves little doubt in audience minds as he did have a lot to sya at the After the Sunset premiere.

“They contracted me for four, it was a great time, a great 10 years, but there will be someone else, of that I’m sure,” he said.

“Whoever the next guy is, fair play to him.”

Brosnan’s choice for a successor is Colin Farrell who will be under close examination as he attempts to take on the role of Alexander the Great in Olive Stone‘s-Alexander which bows this month in theaters everywhere.

While Brosnan may have his pick don’t overlook Hugh Jackman and Jude Law as potential candidates.

As to why Brosnan would not be allowed to continue his reign, barring he wants to, is beyond me considering he has taken the top four slots in terms of ticket sales for any of the Bond films.
