It was rumored and now it is confirmed, Keith Richards, famed Rolling Stones guitarist and inspiration for Johnny Depp’s portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow has apparently already been fit for a costume as he is set to play Sparrow’s father in the
Pirates of the Caribbean 2 is expected to start lensing at the end of February and may continue for up to eleven months. There has been talk of the team pulling a Matrix trick in order to film 2 and 3 at the same time.
As far as returning cast members, you can expect everyone, and Yahoo! is also confirming that Geoffrey Rush is expected to reprise his role as the evil Captain Barbossa – despite dying at the end of the first film.
Gore Verbinski is tapped to direct and unfortunately a storyline is yet to be revealed.
