Otter Up for CGI Treatment

Regency Enterprises and CritterPix Studios today agreed to develop Regency’s first-ever computer-generated animated feature film, based on the beloved children’s best-seller Ollie the Otter by Kelly Alan Williamson.

Regency will spearhead creative development on the picture. The studio also has the option of investing in CritterPix and to co-finance the movie’s production.

“We are thrilled to enter into this partnership with CritterPix,” said David Matalon, Regency’s president. “CritterPix is a fresh animation voice that is fortified with talented story-telling veterans. The creative collaboration between our two companies will bring all of these lovable Ollie the Otter characters to audiences around the world.”

CritterPix founder and president, Kelly Williamson added, “Our agreement with Regency allows us to partner with the highest caliber creative partner we could have imagined. This is a testament to the tremendous enthusiasm for the Ollie the Otter project and complements Regency’s reputation of developing quality movies that are also commercial successes. Our relationship centers around creating and distributing great family entertainment as we look ahead to a partnership with unlimited potential.”
