Director John Woo has just been tapped to direct and produce a new live-action version of the popular cartoon He-Man with Adam Rifkin set to adapt the screenplay.
“He-Man” has seen an adventure on the big screen once before as Ivan Drago, a.k.a. Dolph Lundgren played the muscled man in 1987. While word is not yet out on what direction the new film will go, the cartoon version of He-Man began life as Prince Adam, the hybrid of an Earthling and an Eternian. At the age of 18, he was taken to Castle Grayskull, where Adam received super powers.
