In the best example of the phrase “never give up” it seems Vince McMahon is determined to make some kind of money outside the ring off his wrestling fame, this time he will venture into the realm of feature films with a project called The Marine.
Apparently the XFL failure wasn’t enough McMahon’s WWE Films will produce the pic with John “Doctor of Thuganomics” Cena set to take the title role as an injured Marine who returns from the war to find his girlfriend inadvertently caught up in a kidnapping. Commercial helmer John Bonito has been tapped to direct.
The feature is expected to have a budget of $15 million and begin filming in mid-September.
