While Michael Moore’s controversial political doc Fahrenheit 9/11 continues to heat up the box-office as it recently opened to record numbers in France, BO dollars seem the furthest thing from Moore’s mind as DVD seems to be the goal for the round one.
Apparently in a still hushed deal Sony is set to acquire domestic home entertainment rights to the Bush-bashing pic and is expected to release DVD and VHS versions through its Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment division this fall with a late-September release in order to precede the Nov. 2 presidential election.
