Just a while back rumors were tossed out the window that “Smallville” star Tom Welling would take his role of Superman from the small box to the big screen as “Smallville” is entering its fifth season on the WB.
Now, from XTZWorld.com comes word that he is still in the running as Al Gough, executive producer of “Smallville” explains, “In order to get a whole new generation of Superman fans, we need to get someone people recognize. Tom [Welling, star of “Smallville” on the WB can really bring in a new generation of fans.”, Gough said.
“Once “Smallville” has finished, which will be at the end of it’s fifth season, it’s pretty much a big move onto the silver screen.”, Gough explained.
Sounds like a big talk to me and I don’t expect it to come to fruition, but what do I know?
