Variety has reported that Wayne Wang is in negotiations to direct Queen Latifah’s remake of the 1950 comedy Last Holiday for Paramount Pictures.
The original flick starred Alec “Obi-Wan” Guinness but the remake will place Latifah in Guinness’ role as a shy sales clerk who, after she learns she has a terminal illness, takes off for a European vacation.
