No surprise here as USA Today is reporting that the DVD release of Michael Moore’s box-office phenom Fahrenheit 9/11 will be hitting shelves this September.
USA Today reports “We want to get it out before the (presidential) election,” says Michael Moore, Oscar-winning director of Bowling for Columbine and author of best-selling books Stupid White Men and Dude, Where’s My Country? “We hope the film and DVD will have a significant role in removing Bush” from office.
The White House has declared Fahrenheit 9/11’s premise “outrageously false.”
The DVD will include footage and Moore commentary not in the 120-minute theatrical release. Among scenes being considered: additional footage of U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft and man-in-the-street interviews Moore commissioned in 30 countries in which participants are asked what they love  and hate  about the USA.
Once we have an official release date and DVD details we will let you know.
