Due to the overwhelming interest in whether or not the image posted on May 18th in this article is real or not, regarding the start of production of DreamWorks The Ring 2.
I just want all you Ring fans to know that it is a legitimate image scanned directly from Variety magazine from the May 13th issue. Just to further convince you we have scanned the image again showing where it was torn from the magazine and folded over the top of the image as well to show you the other side. The image can be seen below or in HI-RES by clicking here in all its proving glory. You should also all know that this is not an official poster, it is an ad from a magazine, simply announcing the start of production.
Now I was confused as well when the image had Samara on it, since we have all heard the rumors that Chase isn’t even returning for the film since Samara isn’t in it except a few seconds, but the image is what it is.
Now go out and enjoy yourself knowing that it looks like this thing is full steam ahead. Also, I hope this will slow down the speculating emails.
