According to The Hollywood Reporter, a cast is coming together for Phedon Papamichael’s indie coming-of-age drama Arcadia Lost, toplined by Nick Nolte with Haley Bennett and Carter Jennings. Based on a script by David Ariniello, the latter two play step-siblings whose first family trip is cut short by a car crash. With their parents dead, the stunned teens roam the Greek countryside and befriend an expatriate vagabond, played by Nolte, who leads them to a mysterious spiritual ceremony.
Phedon Papamichel is best known as a director of photography for movies like Sideways and Walk the Line, but he also helmed the indie horror flick From Within, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year.
The film is produced by Chambers Productions with Roadworks Pictures and Top Cut Productions.
