Universal Pictures has hired Craig Rosenberg to adapt the BBC series “Second Sight,” reports Variety.
The thriller will be produced by Angry Films’ Don Murphy and Susan Montford.
The 1999 British series provided a breakout role for Clive Owen. He starred as homicide detective Ross Tanner, who leads an elite unit that tackles high-profile murder cases while suffering from a rare degenerative eye disease that causes hallucinations and increasing blindness.
Rosenberg’s credits include DreamWorks’ upcoming thriller The Uninvited, based on South Korean horror pic A Tale of Two Sisters. He is also segueing into directing, readying to helm psychological thriller The Panopticon for producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura.
