Screen Gems announced today that it will be presenting a Comic-Con panel that will offer a double-helping of the undead. On Saturday, July 11, the studio will will premiere exclusive first look footage from both Burr Steers’ Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Stefan Ruzowitzky’s Patient Zero.
Timing and location has not yet been confirmed, but the panel will be moderated by Entertainment Weekly’s Dalton Ross. The Pride And Prejudice And Zombies segment will feature talent from the film including Lily James, Sam Riley, Bella Heathcote, Douglas Booth, Jack Huston, and Matt Smith, along with Steers, and the book’s author Seth Grahame-Smith. Patient Zero will then bring out stars Matt Smith and Natalie Dormer alongside Ruzowitzky and screenwriter Mike Le.
Set for release on February 5, 2016, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies offers an “expanded” version of the Austen classic. The book tells the timeless story of a woman’s quest for love and independence amid the outbreak of a deadly virus that turns the undead into vicious killers.
Patient Zero, meanwhile, does yet have a release date. Set against an unprecedented global pandemic of a super strain of rabies, the story sees the majority of humankind into highly intelligent, streamlined killers known as ‘The Infected.’ One victim, Morgan (Smith), who is asymptomatic and can communicate with the infected, leads the last survivors on a hunt for Patient Zero and a cure.
