Jones is in early talks to play Sienna Brooks, a doctor who must help Harvard symbologist Henry Langdon (Hanks) recover his memories in order to stop a madman from releasing a global plague.
Based on the bestselling novel by Dan Brown, Inferno is the follow-up to Howard and Hanks’ hits The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, both of which grossed a combined $1.2 billion worldwide. The new film is written by David Koepp and produced by Howard and Brian Grazer for an October 14, 2016 release.
Jones recently completed a starring role opposite Nicholas Hoult in drug-smuggling thriller Autobahn, and is currently filming Juan Antonio Bayona’s dark fairytale A Monster Calls.
